What are Insights in Optimal?

The Insights feature within the Qualitative Insights tool allows you to capture meaningful takeaways and key findings from a study faster and more efficiently. Each Insight consists of a title, description, and a selection of relevant observations.

With Insights, you can instantly view all insights on the overview page or deep dive into individual insights to inform key decisions.

Insights is intended to be useful with or without AI features enabled.

Who can edit / create Insights?

Team members can create new insights on the dedicated Insights tab manually and/or with AI. Team members can also edit Insights. Note takers cannot create or edit new Insights.

Are Insights connected with my Qualitative Insights Analysis?

You can filter your data using keywords, tags, affinity map groupings, tasks, segments, and sessions to find observations to add to your Insights.

Note that the new Insights tab or newly created Insights will not affect any other existing parts of Qualitative Insights. Newly created Insights do not appear and are not linked to any other section of Qualitative Insights e.g. Analysis tab, Theme Builder or Affinity Map.

How do Insights integrate with the rest of the product?

Insights and AI capabilities will be initially launched in Qualitative Insights and not be connected to other Optimal tools.

How do I share or export Insights?

Team members can copy a URL e.g. main Insights page or individual Insights page to share with another Optimal user who has access to the Qualitative Insights study. The URL cannot be currently shared with non-Optimal users, or users without access to the Qualitative Insights study. Other options for delivery would be copying the insights or taking a screenshot to share out with stakeholders. There are currently no exporting capabilities available for Insights.
