Video recording is currently available via our closed beta. If you are an admin on a Teams or Enterprise plan, you can register your interest in the beta via this form.

Analyzing recordings

Video recordings can be accessed and viewed via Recordings under the Results > Analysis > Recordings tab under prototype testing.

On the Recordings tab, you can view:

  • Each participant’s video recording by task

  • Participant name

  • Result

    • Direct success

    • Indirect success

    • Direct failure: Participants went directly to their nominated response without backtracking but unfortunately did not find the correct location

    • Indirect failure: Participants clicked into a few different areas and some backtracking occurred, but they still weren't able to find the correct location.

  • Time taken

  • Clicks

    • # of clicks

    • # of misclicks

You can use the dropdown at the top left to switch between different tasks. You can also sort recordings by participant name, result, time taken, and number of clicks.

Viewing recordings

With video recording, you can take note of valuable nonverbal cues like eye rolls and frustration, and screens and voices to better understand user experiences.

Each video recording captures a participant’s response to your study. Under the Recordings tab under Analysis, you can select a specific task. When you click to view, the player will automatically navigate to and start playing from the beginning of that task.

If video recording was enabled along with screen recording, then the recording will show a full screen with a smaller participant face recording overlaid. You can watch at 1x, 1.5x, or 2x speed and make the video full screen.

Downloading recordings

You can download your recordings by clicking on the download icon available under the Results > Analysis > Recordings tab or the download button available after clicking on View Recording.
