How many videos can I upload?

You can upload up to 10 videos per Interview study.

Are there any limits with AI chat?

You can enjoy AI chat freely, as long as it's following our fair use policy.

Can I edit transcripts?

AI automatically highlights key quotes and generates a full transcript in Interviews. You can edit speaker names in a transcript, but the transcript text itself cannot be changed.

Can I create my own highlight reels?

In Interviews, you'll automatically get highlight reels generated to support key insights and themes. Though you cannot combine, trim, or edit highlight reels, you can continue to work with AI chat in order to generate new highlight reels that are focused on your interests.

What tech does Optimal use for AI in Interviews?

Optimal uses AWS Amazon Bedrock, which is the fully managed service that makes large language models (LLMs) from Amazon and leading AI startups available through an API. Learn more about Amazon Bedrock.

What privacy and security measures are in place for AI at Optimal?

Amazon Bedrock meets industry-leading standards for compliance, including: ISO, SOC, CSA STAR Level 2, GDPR, and HIPAA eligible.

Amazon Bedrock is a FedRAMP High authorized service in the AWS GovCloud (US-West) Region. FedRAMP High authorized with the highest level of security certification provided under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) for cloud services used by U.S. federal agencies.

Amazon Bedrock uses encryption to protect data at rest and data in transit.

How does AI in Optimal handle data?

The AI capabilities in Interviews are separated by customer and the data you submit to AI will not be used to train other AI models.

  • Limited Use: You control the data you submit and it will only be used within the scope of your chosen study.

  • No External Model Training: Our AI model does not use your data to train other models.

  • Ownership: You own all Customer Data outputs generated by our AI model.

Can I set my organization's settings preferences for AI for Interviews?

As AI is a core functionality of Interviews, you cannot disable AI for Interviews.

Can I edit AI-generated content?

While AI-generated content in Interviews isn't editable right now, AI gives you clear, actionable insights automatically. You can use AI chat to dig deeper and generate targeted highlight reels and insights.

Can AI work with languages other than English?

Please note that AI in Interviews will support English video recordings for the initial early access launch. It is not intended to be used for non-English at this time. We’re currently exploring how to expand Interviews beyond early access with additional capabilities, including non-English and multilingual support.

How is PII treated in Interviews?

Certain types of sensitive data are automatically redacted from transcripts, AI-generated insights, chat, and key quotes:

These include:

  • Phone number

  • Social Security Number

  • Credit/debit card number

  • Credit card expiration, CVV, PIN

  • Bank account number

  • Bank routing number

Note that the interview recordings themselves will not be redacted, so this information will still appear in the raw footage. At this stage, redaction works for English videos.

Some PII is currently not automatically redacted, such as email or names.

Can I upload audio files?

At this time, Optimal Interviews doesn’t support uploading audio files. This is an area we’re actively exploring as we continue to expand Interview capabilities.
