Optimal's Usability Testing tool automatically brings your results together across your different study methods, so you don’t have to manually combine or compare them. Everything is unified for you, giving you a clear, connected view of your overall study.
At the same time, you can dig deeper whenever you need to. Each section includes a detailed breakdown by task and test type, so you can quickly move from the overall picture to specific insights.
Summary & Key Themes
Each study will contain an overall summary, sentiment analysis, and key themes looking at the full study as well as insights on positive sentiment, pain points, and opportunities for the full study.
You can use the Share section option available under the three dots (⋮) in the Study goals & summary section to share a link with your team and stakeholders.
You can use the Copy to clipboard option available under the three dots (⋮) in the key themes section to easily grab the text and copy into your decks, docs, or communications to share with your team and stakeholders.
To see the breakdown of positive and negative sentiment, click on the sentiment bar under Summary and key themes to expand this section.

You can click on each insight or sentiment and click Show citations to see the related video clip and supporting evidence with citations. On the right panel, you'll also have the option to click Show quote.
To view Results through a shared link, the person must also have access to that Optimal study.
Screening questions
If you have added screening questions, there will be a dedicated screening question section available for your review.

See the transcripts and quotes associated with each task.
Regenerating & refreshing results with additional participant data
When you first enter the Results section, the summary, key themes, and insights will reflect all the participants who have completed the study up to that point. As additional participants complete the study, the summary, key themes, and insights will not be updated automatically.
When you are ready to refresh results, click on Regenerate results either on the Sessions page and Summary and key themes page.
Important note: Regenerating results will apply to all data. It will replace any existing summary, key themes, citations and associated video clips, and insights for the entire study as well as individual sections. Please copy and save insights as needed.
On the roadmap, we will build in a bookmark/pin capability to keep insights even after regenerating.
