How to import your Figma prototype

  1. Create a new Prototype study in Optimal, you can click on New under Prototype testing on your Home page and select Figma link then Create study.

You can also create a new study by clicking on New study on your Studies page.

2. Go to the Set up tab and click Add prototype.

3. Retrieve your Figma link.

You can either copy the design file link or prototype link.

To copy the design file link, go to Share then Copy link. To copy from the prototype view, click on the play button in the top right, then Share prototype and Copy link.

Note: If the person uploading the Figma file to Optimal has view access only for that file, the owner or editor of the file must:

Check the box “Viewers can copy, save, and export from this file” under the design file share settings

or

Upload the Figma file themselves to Optimal

4. Paste your Figma link in the Figma prototype link field, then click Import.

5. Your Figma prototype should appear in the Prototype Preview.

If you make any updates to your prototype in Figma, you can Re-sync it by clicking Re-sync to file at any time.
