How to access transcripts

  1. Go to Results > Recordings and click on a video thumbnail to open it.

  2. Once the video is open, you can:

    1. View the full transcript

    2. Edit speaker names

    3. Copy sections of the transcript

    4. Download the transcripts

You can also click on a citation, then Show quote, and select View full transcript to jump directly to the corresponding text.

Editing speaker names

Once you have edited speaker names, the updated names will be reflected alongside any citation or quote.

Downloading clips

With Optimal Interviews, you also have the option to quickly create and download a quick snippet of your interview. Highlight key quotes or moments in your transcripts and instantly download them to share with your team.

Note on transcripts (read-only)

In the initial tool release, transcript text is read-only. While you can’t edit typos or rephrase sentences, your AI insights, chats, and citations are designed to handle small imperfections without losing meaning or accuracy. You’ll always have the video and full context to confirm intent.

You can edit speaker names, which will appear in citations and help you quickly identify who said what or segment your data.

This approach enables us to deliver this new Interviews tool faster, putting its benefits in the hands of Optimal users as quickly as possible.
