How to create an Interviews study and upload new videos

Learn how to get started in Interviews by uploading your own videos and recorded interviews.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To start your Interviews study, click on New under Interviews on the Home page or go to the Studies section and click New study.

How to upload new videos

  • After clicking New, you'll be automatically directed to the Study details page under the Setup.

    • On the Study details page, you can:

      • Add a study title

      • Select a project and/or folder that you want to save the study under

  • Under Language settings, you can select the languages that are spoken in your interviews. This will determine the language of your transcripts & quotes.

  • The last tab under Setup is Privacy

    • By checking the Hide this study's video box, all uploaded videos associated with this study will have the video playback removed to protect participant privacy and replaced with an Optimal screen. You will still receive automated insights, summaries, transcripts, audio, and highlight reels (audio).

    • On this tab, you can also click to Upload videos, which will direct you to the Recordings section.

Hidden study video playback

  • You can also add or remove videos directly from the Recordings file by dragging & dropping or choosing files to upload

Supported video files

  • Supported file types: .mp4 and .mov

  • Upload up to 20 files at a time

  • Maximum length per video: 90 minutes

  • Maximum file size: 2GB

  • Larger or multiple files uploaded at once may require a short waiting period.

For study-usage based plans: Note that each Interview study (up to 20 videos uploaded per study) will count as one study toward your annual study limit.

Adding additional videos

Once you have created a study, you can navigate to the Results > Recordings section via the left side panel.

On the Recordings page, you can click to Add new recording or remove existing files as needed.

Note on language support

Please note that AI in Interviews currently supports English video recordings. It is not intended to be used for non-English at this time.

We’re currently exploring how to expand Interviews with additional capabilities, including non-English and multilingual support. If this capability is important to you, we’d love to hear your feedback through our feedback form.
