Getting started with AI chat
AI chat in Interviews is a conversational assistant that helps dig deeper into your Interviews data. Ask AI chat anything to summarize, rephrase, generate new evidence, highlight reels, or insights and help you see patterns across data you might otherwise miss.
To access AI chat, go to the left side panel and click on the Chat section or click on Chat with AI at the bottom of your Insight pages.
Then, type in a question or click to view one of your previous chats. All AI Chats will be saved and accessible under Recent chats. AI Chats are saved and attached to an individual Optimal user, not to Workspace.
Engaging with AI chat conversations & insights
Once your conversation is underway, you'll be able to:
Click on the quotation marks icon to view a highlight reel and quotes
Copy an insight
Click on a citation
Refining and follow-up
You can ask follow-ups to AI Chat, such as:
“Can you focus on …”
"Make it more concise / more detailed”
“Translate this into layman’s terms”
You can correct the AI:
“Actually this is incorrect / I meant ...”
Best practices tips
Be specific with your requests.
Provide context upfront for more complex questions.
Use the AI iteratively: start broad, then zoom in.
Verify critical info: Double-check decisions, data, or sensitive information rather than treating AI output as final.
Editing and deleting chats
You can edit a chat title or delete a chat by clicking on the three dots (...) under Recent chats.
